REGIONAL SALES MANAGER                                              Central Belt Scotland/Cumbria/Isle of Man

In this newly created position we are looking to recruit an additional enthusiastic outgoing person to join our expanding Sales Team. This role will suit an experienced sales person who is used to selling through a dealer network however we will also consider someone looking to break in to field sales and currently works within a distributor such as a Builders or Industrial Merchant.

Taking over an area with a solid base of established customers the candidate will be required to maintain and grow the existing accounts but also with a large emphasis on opening new doors and maximising the potential of the numerous group deals we have in place.

This will be a hands-on role that will require the ability to work independently and the person must also be prepared to assist customers with merchandising and displaying our products within stores.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Achieve Company sales targets as set out in the annual budget
  • Ensure sales are created and stimulated for all products to the trade accounts within the defined geographical area
  • Ensure that the correct product information is given to the Customer
  • Advise, support and motivate customers in trading with the Company in order to secure more profitable sales and greater market share
  • Attend Company sales and product meetings
  • Ensure customer records and reports are maintained to the standard required by the Company
  • Handle all customers' orders/enquiries promptly
  • Complete regular call reports

Suitable candidates will offer the following skills and experience

  • Experience of external field sales preferably trading through a dealer network including Industrial, Builders and Agricultural Merchants.
  • Ability to form long term customer relationships
  • Able to work independently
  • Confident personality
  • Well presented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Tenacious and energetic approach
  • Basic IT skills- E.G an ability to use our CRM system (Vecta) and fulfil minor customer tasks such as email communication.
