Head of Finance – Williamson-Dickie EMEA – part of VF Corporation

Williamson-Dickie is recruiting for a Head of Finance, based in our European Head Office in Midsomer Norton, near Bath. Reporting to the CFO of Williamson-Dickie with a dotted line to the President of EMEA, and part of the senior leadership team, responsible for the financial, strategic and commercial planning, control and maintenance of the financial and I T functions for EMEA with a turnover of excess of £100 million.

With 7 direct reports, and overall accountability for over 50 employees, responsible for the European Finance and IT Departments for Williamson-Dickie EMEA, including subsidiaries in Belgium, France, Germany and the Middle East.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Full P&L reporting responsibility.
  • Oversee the production and presentation of the monthly management accounts and supporting schedules, the annual financial statements and the annual budget within the timescale set.
  • Promote the discussion of all the financial results of the Company and the investigation of variances requiring attention.
  • Control the finances of the Company to maximise cash flow and interest received.
  • Perform the statutory duties of Company Secretary in order to meet legal requirements.
  • Prepare agendas, attend and produce minutes for all meetings of the Board of Directors.
  • Act as Trustee and Secretary to the Company Pension Scheme.
  • Produce the quarterly Metrics reports for the Company
  • Key part of senior management team

Key attributes include:

  • Financial Qualification - FCCA / ACCA
  • Extensive experience of working in a public company.
  • Experience of managing Tax and statutory accounts - locally and in EMEA.
  • Strong commercial, leadership and decision making skills
  • Adaptable and open to change
  • Able to challenge the “status quo” to drive business performance
  • Ability to build strategic relationships and manage key stakeholders
Desirable attributes include:
  • Company secretary experience
  • Knowledge of implementing new systems including SAP
  • Experience of using Hyperion - financial reporting package or JBA system 21
