We are looking for an experienced Credit Control Supervisor to Assist the Credit Manager in supervising and motivating a team of 7 credit controllers in collecting £6 million per month from our clients. This role is varied and fast-paced and would be perfect for anyone who enjoys working in a hands on environment.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities 

1. Supervise Credit Control function and team comprising Nine Credit Facilitators, ensuring key responsibilities within the team are carried out and assisting as necessary;
  • Daily balancing
  • Daily cash posting
  • Daily held order review/release
  • Customer account set up and credit reviews
  • Chasing of debt and liaison with Sales Teams
2. Attend and participate in monthly one-to-ones with Credit Facilitators alongside the Credit Manager, reviewing their aged debt, ensuring correct follow-up action is taken.
  • Separate follow up meeting with the Credit Facilitator 2 weeks later to review with them directly
3. Reporting and processing;
  • Carry out month end reports, calculations and compose journals
  • Bad Debt Write Off collation of information and processing
  • Monitor daily cash and collections figures and update wall charts
4. Assist team with;
  • Queries – first point of call
  • Finance system – operation or problems, working with IT as needed
  • Decision making and collation of information
5. Assist Credit Manager with reporting, analysis, information, query resolution, that may be identified through various means, including but not limited to;
  • Aged Debt Reviews
  • Credit Monitoring reports from Credit Agency
  • Overdue Debt logged with external parties
  • New Customer Accounts
  • Credit Reviews
  • Policies and Contracts – internal and external
6. Take ownership of and reconcile difficult accounts personally and escalate in liaison with relevant departments as necessary.

7. Liaise with internal and external parties as necessary including customers, cash collection agencies, solicitors, credit rating agencies, Directors and external auditors.

8. Assist colleagues in other areas of Finance as required to promote team-work and ensure peak periods are managed effectively within the Department.

9. Carry out any other Finance task not unreasonably requested
