Brand Manager - Enligh and French Speaking

Would you like to join our international Marketing team and be a key strategic influence in the development of the world’s leading performance Work Wear brand? You'll be working on a wide range of products and activities with multi-market focus.

Reporting to the Marketing Director for Europe, you will lead the UK marketing strategy for Dickies Work Wear with responsibility across all consumer activities: asset creation, advertising, research, sponsorship and PR collaborations.

The Marketing department is comprised of 4 teams: the Dickies Life streetwear marketing team, Dickies Work Wear marketing team, the Creative Design team, with a dotted line into Dickies’ Direct to Consumer businesses.

Essential Requirements
  • Experience of working on a brand with wholesalers and retailers
  • Spoken ability in an additional language other than English – French fluent with, German and/or Dutch preferred.
  • Disciplined & organised – a good planner
  • Great communication – both in terms of presentation and liaison
  • Broad marketing experience – at least 3 years, not necessarily same sector
  • Self-motivated
  • Creative & passionate
  • Analytical
  • Strong Influencing skills
Preferred Requirements
  • Creative skills (knowledge of Mac and application software)
  • Trade Marketing experience
  • Online CRM experience
  • Educated to degree level
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Primarily focussing on the UK, and with key stakeholders (Marketing Director, Merchandising Director, Sales Directors & Trade Marketing Manager), build the Brand Marketing plan for Dickies Work Wear
  • Drive brand exposure through ownership of the following key areas:
  1. responsibility for briefing, managing & measuring all external PR agencies
  2. Sponsorship – responsibility for initiation and management all sponsorships and associations
  3. Consumer communications – responsible for the creation and methods of execution for of all communications directly to consumers, from social media to traditional catalogues
  • Develop a plan for all activities, showing detailing execution strategies across all channels and verticals
  • Regularly communicate and present back plans & progress & success of the marketing strategy to key stakeholders, (Sales, Marketing, Merchandising and Senior Management)
  • With the Head of eCommerce, develop a metrics scorecard to regularly review Brand performance measures.
  • To maintain/reinforce the Dickies brand standards in all actions/communications.
  • As part of campaign planning, work with the BM, Head of eCommerce and Retail Stores Manager to execute assets and campaigns for Dickies Direct to Consumer channels, and review their effectiveness
  • Manage and deliver customer research projects (in conjunction with other stakeholders as appropriate)
  • Conduct regular competitor analysis and review
  • Communication with media/press (including distribution of imagery, samples and/or stories)
  • Liaise with work wear design teams (from creation of animations, to labels and inspiration).
  • Liaise with Marketing team from Dickies USA; collaborations, needs and requests
  • Bring ideas and inspiration to the Dickies Life work wear marketing
