Job Overview

To assist in the reconciliation and processing of financial accounts for Williamson Dickies Europe (and any affiliates requested).
Responsible for cash processing, reconciliation, credit note / adjustments reviews, and query resolution.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Liaise and meet with internal and external stakeholders to resolve account queries
  • Review credit note requests, ensuring correct posting to the accounts, stock effect, reasons clear and correct approval obtained
  • Process Customer Refund requests, gathering paperwork and gaining required approval
  • Reconciling bank accounts, including associated accounts such as Paypal, Sagepay, merchant etc, process cash applications and disbursements.
  • Carry out journal processing to complete any postings, exchange rates per company policy
  • Ensure documentation kept to support all transactions processed and correctly approved
  • Reconcile and report at month end, providing supporting information and clarification as needed accurately and timely as required by the business
  • Take responsibility for accounts and processes attributed to the job holder to ensure carried out to manager and company requirements
  • Assist the Cash and Treasury Manager in management and reporting functions, covering Manager tasks during absence, when necessary.
  • Assist colleagues in other areas of Finance as required to promote team-work and ensure peak periods are managed effectively within the Department.
  • Carry out any other Finance task not unreasonably requested.

Essential Requirements

  • Analytical, problem solving and lateral thinking skills.
  • Team player, willing to help other areas to work as one Finance team
  • Experience in Finance or Accounting
  • Ability to organise own workload and meet demanding deadlines and targets whilst maintaining high levels of organisation as well as accommodating multiple tasks
  • Strong excel skills

Preferred Requirements

  • Accounts qualification (AAT, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Familiarity with bank cash management systems.
  • Experience working in a retail or stock environment
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
